RUGBY INTRIGUE
PROPOSED CONFERENCE TO CLEAR THE AIR.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIRISHT.)
(AUSTRALIAN ■ NBW ZEALAND CABLB ASSOCIATION.)
, LONDON, 13th. April. "Sporting Life," featuring the projected tour of a New Zealand Rugby team, states: "A visit to England will be a matter of gratification. It: will do a lot to clear the air. of ■ intrigues, and might lead to a conference of all Baigby-pi aying countries. > It is common knowledge that the New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland unions have- frequently forwarded proposals which the English Union neither adopted nor seriously considered. Many complaints respecting the discourtesy in England have been .received. Mr. Wi-ay, the New Zealand representative on the Rugby Union, hopes to see a conference of the English, French, New Zealand, New South Wales, and Queensland unions."
