He waa later reported to have been seen in the Blackmoor-foot district, about throe miles away, apparently making for the moors botween Hudderfifielcl and the Lancashire border. The arrows on his prison garments appeared to have been smeared over with clay. The police continued their search, but were handicapped by fog.
