The vessel loaded case oil at Philadelphia and general merchandise at New York. She cleared New York on the 4th March and Pa- " nama on the 13th March. On the 23th March a stop was made at Pttcairn Island to land malls. Fine weather w*s experienced on the vovaEe until the Ist April, when stormy weatherVas encountered. 'For ten days the steamer experienced a succession of westerly gales. There was a high sea running, which necessi-tated-the vessel being at timea nearly bove-to "to minimise the effect of the waves breaking on board. No damage was- done, and when ' nearing New Zealand the weather became fine again. The City of Bombay is fully loaded. After discharging a quantity of cargo at Auckland, the City of Bombay ■will proceed to Hapier, Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Jlelbourne to complete discbarge. CABLE STEAMEE IEIS. The Pacific Cable Board's steamer Iris, which Is surveying the new cable route between Fiji and New Zealand, was at Norfolk Island on Wednesday. She is expected at Auckland on Monday. . ...
