Jack Dempsey has purchased the controlling interests in and waß chosen chairman of the board of directors of the Western Coal Mining Company, a three-million-dollar concern owning large tracts of coal lands in Utah. Dempsey, who in. his youth was a miner, has declared that he expects to make coal operating hi 3 life work.
