OTAGO AND THE NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION. (Vt TBIBQRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, 12th April. At a meeting of the committee of the Otago Boxing Association to-night, the dispute with the New Zealand Council received further consideration. A suggestion by the Wellington Association, to the effect that a conference of all boxing associations be held in Wellington with a view to arriving at a settlement, was approved, and it was decided to ask affiliated associations to support the proposal, the Otago Association agreeing to abide by any decision arrived at by such conference. The president (Mr. Gillies) and the secretary (Mr. Divers) were appointed to represent the Otago Association in the event of a conference being held.
