CHRISTCHURCH, 12th April: The matter of the Public Schools' Association refusing to allow denominational schools to take part in Rugby competitions under, its-control • was discussed at a meeting of the Marist' Club tonight. It was mentioned that teams had been entered in the competitions, but as the association did, not meet till to-mor-row night, the fate of the entries would not be known till then. It was decided to defer action until after the meeting of the association, and if the association persists in its attitude the Rugby Union will inaugurate a competition to meet the needs of the boys.
