FROZEN MEAT PRICES.
Messrs. Daigety and Company, Limited, report Having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of thjs 12th April:— "Lamb: New Zealand prime crossbred iamb, Canterbury, heavy, llid; Canterbury, light, Usd; North Island, heavy, 10id; North Island, light, lid; demand for New Zealand lamb limited; market weaker, "Mutton:: New Zealand prime crossbred mutton, North Island, heavy, 7Jd; North Island, light. BJd; demand for New Zealand mutton poor; market weaker. "Beef: New Zealand prime ox beef, hinds, 4ld; fores. 3Jd- There is no demand for New Zealand beof; prices arc nominal. "Australian Frozen Meat; Good average quality crossbred lamb, heavy, BJd; light, 9jd. Demand for.Australian lamb poor Uood average quality, crossbied muttou, heavy, 6Jd; light, Od. Demand for Australian mutton "Owing to extraordinarily low prices of South American chilled beef at present no demand for quarters frozen beef whatever. The heavy supply and luw value hayo had considerable effect on demand for other descriptions."
