OUTBREAK AT WAIPUKURAU

WAIPUKUBAU, This Day. A fire at 6.50 o'clock last night gutted a wooden building in Main street, occupied by the Public Trust- Office, Stewart's auction mart, and Miss Barnes, milliner. The blaze started .in Miss Barnes's shop, which was completely gutted, and the stock, valued at over JbIOOO, destroyed. Stewart's premises were gutted, and £500 to £600 damage done. The Public Trust books were saved. The building was insured for £950. The other insurances are not available.- The brigade extinguished the fire in fifteen minutes.
