The Management Committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council, at a meeting to-night, decided to recommend the general meeting to convene a conference of representatives of minor associations at Christchurch in Grand National wetk to consider the future of .the Hawlte Cup competition. The request of the Wellington Association that an inquiry into the charge of watering the wicket in the Welling-ton-Canterbury match was considerod. 'and the Management- Committee decided that an inquiry bo held at the earliest opportunity, and that Mr. D. C. Collins and one representative of the Wellington Association bo invited to attend at the expense of the Now Zealand Cricket Council.
