Store sheep showed a. rather decided drop for old ewes, but other classes wexe little" changed. . ' ' Store sheep.—A large yarding for this time of the year, including lines from Hawkes Bay. Nelson, and Marlborough. Old ewes, which formed the bulk of the yarding, were down 2s to 3e per head on last week, good ewes were Is cheaper, and backward lambs were eas.ijr by Is to Is 6d. Passings of ewes were frequent. Good 4, 6, and 8-tooth ewea made 27b to -28s 4d; ordinary 2, 4, 6, and 8-toofch 19s to 22s 6d, ordinary 2tooth halfbrsd 295, failing mouthod 13s i6d to 18a, 6d. aged 5a 3d to 12s 2d. Forward lambs 21s 8d to 23s 3d, ordinary 14s 6d' to 19s, inferior lls to 14s, cull Ss 8d to 10s 6d, 4, 6, and 8-tooth, halfbred wethers 21s to 255,- 2-tooth lialfbred wetherß 19s 6d to 22e sd. Fat Lambs.—32so were penned. There | waa a recwrery of Is per head over all, the price being fuilr 9id por lb, and in 6ome case3 touching a halfpenny extra. Prime la»bs mad 32s 6d to 35 9d, a few special io 37s 6d, prime 28s to 31.6 6d. medium 25s 6d to 27tjifd, light 23s to 25a 3d. Fat Sheep.—A bigger jarding, and values for good mutton were unaltered from last week. Extra prime wethers made 33s 6d to 4Os. prime 29s 9d to 335, medium 27s 6d to 29s 6d, light 24s 6d to 27g. Extra prime ewes to 355, prime 26s to 28s 6d, mgdium 22s 6d to 25s 6d, inferior 18s to 21s 6d, old 15s to 17s. Fat Cattle.—An exceptionally heavy yarding q£ 513 head and a. dragging market. Extra prime beef made to 28s 6d per 1001b (averaging up to 275), good beef 24s to 265, medium 22s to 23s 6d, rough to 12s 6d. Estra prime steers realised £14 to £16 15s. prime £11 5s to £13 10s, medium £8 5s to £11. light £6 to £8. Extra prime heifers £10 7s 6d, prime £6 5s to £8, ordinary £3 15s to £6. Extra prime cows to £10. prime £5 15s to £7 15s. ordinary £4 to £5 10s. old cows £2 15s to £3 17s 6d. Vealers.—A large entry. Good runners made to £5, ordinary £3 15e to £4 15s. small calves 8s upwards. Store Cattle.—A poor lot were «ent. forward and there was a lifeless sale. Three-year steers £3 10e to £4 2-year steers £2 7s 6d to £2 12s 6d, yearlings to 255. Eighteen months to 2-year heifers £2.5s to £2 15s, yearlings'to 30s. Dairy Cattle.—A slightly better sale. Inferior sorts were neglected. Medium to good springers made- £5 10s to £11 103, extra good to £14, medium to good springing heifers £5 to £10, extra good to £12 10s, inferior sorts to 30s. Fat Pigs.—A large entry. Porkers wore in over supply, an3 'there was a decline in price for both porkers and baoonere. Choppers made £2 to £5 10s. light baconere £3 5s to £3 10b, heavy baconers £3 J.ss to £4 5s (average price per lb 6 : ld to 6-Jd).
