AN ACTUARY ABROAD
Mr. A. T. Traversi, F.1.A., actuary of .the Government Insurance Department, who recently rend a paper on "The National Provident Fund of New Zealand," before the Actuarial Society of Australasia, iii Sydney and Melbourne, Teceived a most complimentary recognition of his efforts in "The Review," an insurance journal. The periodical described Mr. Traversi's address as "important, able, and interesting," and.decided to print it in full. In describing its author as an interesting and distinguished visitoT, "The Review" remarked. "New Zealand is famed as a leader in the matter of provident funds; and, beyond all question, Mr. Traversi succeeded both personally and professionally in making an exceedingly favourabls impression in Australia. The New Zealand Government is to be congratulated on having as a product of the Dominion an officer so highly qualified in all departments of .the business of life insurance; and a gentleman of such wide range of intellectual attainments. His degree of Follow of the Institute of Actuaries, London, is t.he 'blue ribbon of the profession." .
