SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Moderate to strong easterly winds have prevailed northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and northerly to westerly winds elsewhere. Cloudiness has increased, particularly In the northern and southernmost districts, and rain was reported this morning in Southland. Atmospheric pressure lias decreased everywhere, and a storm area appears to be in evidence northward of the Dominion.
