A Stone Age statuette, about 6in high, made of ivory from a, mammoth's tusk, was shown at the last meeting of the Acadomie deß Inscriptions et Belels-Let-tres, Paris, by M. de Saint-Perier, who found it in a grotto at Lexpugne (HauteGaronne). The statuette represents a woman, and may be anything from 20,000 to 60,000 years old. . .
