CHRISTCHUBCH, 4th April. There was a slight all-round easing at to-day's Addington market.

Store sheep—There was a smaller yarding, outside sheep being confined to Nelson and Martinborough. Good ewes sold about the same as last week, but inferior were down by 2s per head. Lambs and wethers about retained former values. Good 4, 6, and 8-tooth ewes made 325, ordinary 25s 6d to 28s, inferior 21s to 245, ordinary 2-tooth halfbred ewes 27s 8d to 28s 3d, cull 2-tooth ewes 22s 9d to 26s 3d, failing mouthed ewes 18s to 235, aged 12s lOd to 16s 6d, forward lambs 23s 3d to 23s Bd, good halfbred wether lambs 21s to 21s 4d, ordinary 15s 9d to 18s, cull 11s to 13s lOd, ordinary 16s 9d to 19s 6d. forward. 4, 6, and 8-tooth wethers 25s Id to 26s 4d, ordinary 2-tooth wethers 23s lOd.

Fat lambs.—2B7o were penned, and there was a further easing of Is to Is 6d per head. Values were from 9d to 9£d per lb. Good beef averaged from 25s to 26s 6d, extra to 27s 6d per 1001b, medium 23s to 24s 6d, and inferior and rough beef from 22s to 12s. Extra prime steers made £14, prime £10 15s to £13, medium £8 to £10 10s, light £5 15s" to £7 15s, extra prime heifers £9 7s 6d, prime £6 5s to £8, ordinary £4 to £6" prime cows £5 15s to £8 12s 6d. ordinary cows £3 15s to £5 10s, old £2 5s to £3 10s.

Vealers.—A good sale. Good runners made £5, ordinary £3 15s to £5 15s, small calves 8s upwards. Store cattle.—A small entry and lower crices. Three-year steers made from £4 5s to £4 15s, two-year steers £2 15s to £3 ss. yearling 25s to 30s, two-year heifers £2 15s to £3 10s. yearling heifers £2 to £2 7s 6d, bulls £2 10b to £5.

Dairy cattle.—A small yarding of mostly inferior sorts, which were practically unsaleable. Extra good springing heifers made up to £14. ordinary to good springing cows £5 to £11 sa, inferior cows £1 15s
