THE TAURANGA BY-ELECTION
LABOUR WILL NOT CONTEST SEAT.
There has been an important development in connection with the Tauranga by-election. The Labour Party has decided not to nominate a candidate. This information is contained in a, Press Association message from Auckland, and was confirmed by Mr. P. Fraser, M.P. Although nominations have not closed, it seems clear that the issue placed before the electors of Tauranga will be clearly defined—Reform or Liberal-Labour. The Reform banner will be carried by Mr. C. E. M'Millan, while Sir Joseph Ward will represent the Liberal Party. ,
