KILLED BY OVERTURNING CAR.

CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Eidward Kenneth Manttan, 22 yeara, a commercial traveller, of Fendalton, was killed instantly in the early hours of this morning through the overturning of the car in which he was a passenger.' Manttan engaged Arthiir Mid'gley to drive him to Kairaki, near Kaiapoi. While in Poplar avenue, two straying horses ran out in. front of the car, which struck one and then collided with a tree.
