EMPIRE EXHIBITION
NEW ZEALAND ARRANGEMENTS,
The last meeting of the Dominion Advisory Council of the British Empire Exhibition appointed a sub-committee to wait upon the Meat Purchase Board regarding a comprehensive meat exhibit. The secretary (Mr. C. G. Camp) reported that labels had been printed for affixing to all cases of New Zealand material. Arrangements also were well forward for the reception, storage, and branding of exhibits in Wellington. A system was being arranged with Captain Monro, of the- Harbour Board staff, whereby all the'cases arriving in Wellington would be carefully sorted, numbered according to their classification and district, and labslled accordingly. The council decided that it would accept the responsibility of all exhibits from the point at which they were prepared, including the cost of freight. An offer by Mr. H.-G. Drew, taxidermist, Wanganui, for the preparation of New Zealand birds to be exhibited in the New Zealand court, was accepted.
Th secretary was instructed to obtain from the State Fire Insurance Department a report covering a' scheme- of insurance on the whole of the exhibits at the New Zealand pavilion, both in transit and at Home.
It was stated, that maps of New Zealand for use at llie Exhibition- were in course of preparation by the Lands Department, while the Government Statistician (Mr. Malcolm Fraser), in conjunction with Mr. W. D. Hunt, was preparing diagrams illustrating New Zealand's national activities,

It was anticipated that machines for this purpose would be available in May next. It was decided to leave the matter of representation at the Empire games to. tho Olympic Council.
