Mr. Arthur Henderson, the Labour leader, interviewed in the lobby, said: "Edgehill means a tremendous break with tradition in one of the most Tory strongholds in the whole country. Now that Labour has got a foothold in Liverpool other constituencies will follow. The Government is thoroughly discredited." . .
