AUCKLAND, 4th March.
The Auckland Automobile Association motor races were held yesterday at Muriwai Beach in perfect weather. The New Zealand Motor Cup, 50 miles, was won by F Sanderson in a Vairxhall; A. Shorter (Cadillac), 2; E. C. Johnstone (Hudson), 3. A Ford car led most of the way, but met witli a mishap, the Vauxhall, an Australian competitor, winning by half a mile. Time, 39min 55 l-ssec.
The open handicap, 16 miles, resulted :—H. A. Milldor (Swift), 1; L. S. Bedford (Durant), 2; P. Seabrook (Jewett), 3. Won easily.
