RED CROSS
PEACE-TIME ACTIVITIES.
There wae a good attendance at the meeting of'the Peace-time Activity Committee of \he Red Cross, when Dr. Morgan presided in the absence of the chairman (Mr. T. Munt). Correspondence dealt with included a letter from Mr. E. A. Booth, secretary, Hawera Red Cross, stating that good progress was being made with the work in that district, and asking that he be furnished with supplies to enable him to carry on. It was agreed that thia be done. Authority was given to Mr. Booth, _ who is thoroughly competent, to examine any junior members in first aid. The Eastbourne Ferry Company forwarded a pass to enable the Red Cross sister to proceed to Eastbourne once a week to conduct a class in home nursing. It was resolved to thank the Ferry Company for its- generous action. The official canvasser submitted a report concerning his activities in augmenting membership enrolments during February. His efforts had been attended with very satisfactory results.
