TARARUA TRAMPING CLUB
A party of thirty members of the club spent the week-end tramping across Gollan's and Wainui Valleys, via the Catchpole to the Orongororigo Valley, where camp was made about 6.30 p.m. on Saturday. Next morning the tramp was along the riverbed) to the seaside near Riddiford's Station, and around the cost to the Wainui river, where luncheon was taken. The members then divided, and returned by different routes via Pencairow lighthouse, Gollan's Valley, and up the Wainui road, (some catching the 5 o'clock boat and the remainder the 8.15 p.m. boat from Day's Bay. The healthy outing through the varied bush! river, and coastal scenery, of which some interesting photographs were obtained, was much appreciated by members, the majority of whom had not previously passed through this country.
