LICENSING COMMITTEES

CARTERTON, This Day. The following have been elected a committee unopposed for the Wairarapa Li-; censing district:—Messrs. A. Donald (Featherston), J. Saunders (Martinborough), W. Howard Booth, T. H. Hughes (Carterton), W. Udy (Greytown). The committee is the same as l<^st year, with the exception of Mr. Hnghes, who replaces the late Mr. W. Miller. TAURANGA, This Day. Nominations for the Taurangai Licensing Committee closed on Saturday, eight being received. An election will be held on the 13th, and, consequently delays the date of the Taurahga by-election.
The following nominations have been received for the Hutt Licensing Committee, and as- the names exceed the number "required an election will bo necessary:—Messrs. Alexander Anderson, John James Cody, Walter Thomas Cotton,. Reginald George House, Henry Walter Kersley, Ernest ( Price, Charles Edward ..Rainaforth, James Stonehouse, Maurice Whitehead Welch.
