MR. WILFORD'S POSITION
(IT TILIGIUPD.—PRESS ASSO^IUMN.)
WANGANUI, This Day.
Questioned further to-day regarding the Tauranga seat, Mr. T. M. Wilford stated that he is in touch with the LiberalLabour Federation of Auckland, which functions in seventeen Northern constituencies, including Tauranga. The district has its own representative on the executive of that federation, and a member of the executive was now in Tauranga in connection with the selection of a candidate. It was probable that the Liberal-Labour speakers in the forthcoming contest would be Messrs. Veitch, Masters, Forbes, and himself.
