MR. L. GRIFFITHS, BLENHEIM.

BLENHEIM, This Day. Mr. Lewis Griffiths, a man very prominent in Marlborough's public lift), died suddenly. Mr. Griffiths occupied many positions, being secretary to the racing and trotting clubs, the Wairau Road Board, Marlborough County Council, and Blenheim Building Society. At the time of his death he was a borough councillor and deputy-Mayor of Blenheim and vice-president of the Operatic Society. He was a prominent sportsman and a former representative, footballer and cricketer. Mr. Griffiths took a great part in amateur theatricals. He was managing director of the firm of Griffiths Bros., Ltd., auctioneers and estate agents. , ■
