LONDON, 30th January,
The "Times" Paris correspondent reports that a high official has denied the rumours that France is protesting to Britain a"ainst the sale of coal to Germany. He declared that there was not the slightest intention of protestingagainst private transactions. If France closed the Ruhr frontiers in order to reduce the. German Government to submission, she would.view with a certain anxiety any arrangements enabling the Germans to hold out, but the only case in which there could be Government interference would be purchases of coal by the German Government itself.
