NEW SEASON'S LAMB IN LONDON.
The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board hag been advised to-day from its London office that new season's' lamfi", from Hawkes Bay and Poverty Bay, which arrived by the Tainui, has been sold at lr l|d per lb "off the hooks," Smithfield. The Tainui is the second vessel to arl: % c in London with new season's lanvb.
The board reports the following shipments from New Zealand of the present season .-—279,664 lambs, 167,503 carcasses mutton 38,205 quarters beef." Avi-v.-t-i and to arrive in the United Kingdom, December to February, 1923, 221,799 lambs, 75,007 carcasses mutton; '.7..,.3 quarters beef. There are 5 lambs included in the above figures for Boston. U.S.A. There were on hand in New Zealand at 15th January, 44,323 t-.tmy tars beef, 70,159 ca^hshm wethtr mutto'i. 33.552 ewee, 290,»7 lam.l*.
