GOVERNMENT BOUGHT WOOL.
According to. the repbTt made at the end of December by the British-Austra-lian Wool Realisation Association, there were, on 30th November, in stock and afloat a total of 940,894 bales of Government wool still unsold. On 31st December, 1921, Australian merino totalled 419,805 bales, and during the year 345,712 bales have been sold, leaving 73,805 still in hand. Australian, crossbreds numbered 756,067 at the end of last year. During the eleven .months 263 585 bales have been sold, leaving 502,482 bales. Only 2465 bales of New Zealand merino wool remained on 30th November, crossbred numbered 220,723, slipes 73,442, and scoured 67,977, making a total o£ 364,607 bales of Ivew Zealand wool for disposal.
