A message from Blanford (Indiana) states tthat a week's race troubles, arising out of the alleged outraging of a white girl by a negro, culminated in a riot in which two men were killed and two were wounded. The. sheriff, learning that whites had fired on negro shopkeepers, ordered a posse and raided a section near the scene of the shooting. Entering a dance halL the officials were attacked by a, crowd, mostly foreigners. The former opened fire, killing two rioters and wounding one. The sheriff was also wounded. I
