Lawton's case continues to excite interest in Rugby circles. "Touch Judge" in "Sporting Life" writes : "The case was not reported to • th« Rugby Union by the University or Major Stanley, but by a representative of a club which is violently antagonistic to the idea of overseas players being included in the English game." "Touch Judge" demands an immediate decision regarding the sus-/ , pension, especially after the discourteous treatment the Australasion unions allege that they received from \the English Union recently. .
[T. Lawton, the Queensland Rhodes Scholar, was suspended by the English Rugby Union, on the gr>md that he played the Northern Union game in Queensland.- The suspension caused a great sensation in Rugby circles.]
