There was a large attendance, and the totalis- i itor- handled £69,907, making a total of £126,241 for the meeting, compared with £112,583 last year. Won by a length and a half each way. Time, lmin 16 3-ssec. , Uangitoto Hack Handicap, of 250 soys; one mile and one furlong.—Snake, '3,3 (M'Tavish), 1; Peter Maxwell, 8.11, 2; Far North, 8.4, 3. Also started: Ben Nevis 9.0, Te Akitai 8.5, Golden Glass 8.4, Marble Bell 8.3, Princess Rell 3.2, Llanelly 8.0, Elsie' Aroha, Polini, Die Curragh, Marble Crag,; Gamboola, King Pellicule, Lady Kerman 7.7. Won by three-quarters of a length, third horse a length and a half back. Time, lmin 56 l-sec.

Waiwera Haadicap Hurdles, of 300 toys ; one mile and three-quarters.—Miss Melva, 9.8 (J. Reston), 1; Shell Shock, \9.13, 2; Silverton, 10.6/3. Also started: No Bother 11.0, Whanoko 10.11, Paddington Green 10.8, Mia Bella 10.5, Maud Wilson 10.4, Guerre- a Mort 9.4, Totara Jack 9.0. Won by a neck, third horse three-quarters of a length away. Time, 3min 20 3-ssec.'

Anniversary Welter Handicap, of 450 soys ; seven furlongs.—Cool Stimulants, 9.10, 1; Surveyor, 10.5, 2; Tresor, 7.7, 3.
