TO DEFEND MOSUL
IF TURKS SHOULD ATTACK
REINFORCEMENTS MOVING UP.

BAGDAD, 28th January.
The secretary to the High Commissioner, Sir Percy Cox, has announced that it has been decided to reinforce the garrison at Mosul with certain Army Air Force units from Bagdad. It is understood that a battalion of the Irak Army is also moving up. lit is considered!most unlikely that the Turks will act with open hostility. while negotiations are in progress, but it is feared that they may instigate the frontier tribes to raid the Mosul vilayet.
