SKIN AND HIDE SALES.
Wellington brokers held their usual skin and hide sale yesterday. There was a good attendance of buyers. Heavy ox realised id per II? better than last sale, whilst light and medium ox declined }d to }d per lb; medium cows appreciated Id per lb and light cows id to Id; calfskins were in good demand showing a rise of 3d to 4d per lb; whilst kips were on a par with last sale; tallow was firm.
