WRECK OF WILTSHIRE
HEROISM OF SEAMAN KEHOE.

AUCKLAND, 26th January. The gallantry displayed by Able Seaman Kehoe, in connection with the rescue of the Wiltshire's crew, was publicly recognised to-day, when Kehoe was presented with a solid silver tankard, presented by the chairman and directors of the New Zealand Shipping Company. In. making the oresentation, Mr. Mackenzie, chairman o? the Harbour Board, said that in risking his life for others, Kehoe had upheld the finest traditions of British, seamen. Mr. Carter, the Union Company's manager, speaking on behalf of the di< rectors, said: "Kehoo's attitude here today is that of a true hero. He is a man of action, not words."
A letter of thanks and appreciation accompanied the tankard.
