PARIS, 25th January. • Th« French G.O.C. at Mayence issued a proclamation stating that "owing to the inactivity of the' German authorities and police during the disorders, he had assumed control of the German police. ' ' In vie* of the attempted disorders the French troops have been ordered to use their arras.
The' Successor to Herr Schultius,- who was sentenced*t6 imprisonment, also reinsed to allow the French to examine his books. , ■. i
