ITALIANS ARREST OMAR
CHARGES OF ESPIONAGE AND
TREASON.

(AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) ROME, 9th January. The police arrested Omar Pasha and his brother and son on charges of espionage and treason. Their luggage, containing a large sum of money and jewellery, was seized.
Omar is believed to have held a high position in Cyrenaica (Italian Libya).
