WELLINGTON EAST
LABOUR CANDIDATE IN. THE
OPEN AIR
Mr. A. L. Monteith, Labour candidate for the Wellington East seat, addressed about 400 people at the corner of Elizabeth and Brougham streets last night. He dealt with different aspects of the Labour Party's platform on the lines of his previous addresses, and strongly attacked the present Government, whose legislation, he said, had all the time been in the interests of the "big" man. The time had undoubtedly arrived for a change, and he urged the electors to vote solidly for Labour. He was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence.
