BOOKMAKER ELIMINATED
RACING IN WESTERN INDIA.

SYDNEY, This Day. Mr. Theodore Marks, a Sydney architect who has returned from India, where he is reconstructing the Western Indian Turf Club's racecourses at Bomba and Pooha, at', a cost'of half a million, says ho bookmakers are allowed on either course, only the totalisator being used. He adds that the horses promenaded in single file in tHe order of their numbers on the race card, so that every visitor gets an opportunity of well judging each competitor prior to each race.
