Nationalist troopß in- Dublin, when approaching the house of Mrs. Humphries, sister of a rebel leader who was killed in the 1916 rising, for the purpose of a raid, were* fired on.- After a fierce duel the house was stoimed. Several of the occupants were founa wounded. Mrs. Humphries and Van unwounded daughter were a-rrested. . ■'
The house was the-headquarters of the irregular command, and contained important papers. It is believed that Mr. de Valera had taken refuge in the house, but escaped during the night. Mary M'Swiney has beep arrested and imprisoned in the Mount joy Gaol.
