WELLINGTON BOY SCOUTS

A biff Boy Scout camp is to be held at PalmeMton INforth at Christmas time." the intention being that all the Scouts in the North Island will foregather for ten days on the Agricultural Show Grounds. The Commercial Travellers' Male Voice Choir wore appealed to for their assistance, and they willingly agreed to give a benefit concert, which vyill take place in the Town Hall on Monday, 31st October. As it will cost each boy £1 10s to go to the camp, a liberal patronage is hoped for. An illustration of what Boy Scouting means will be given at the Basin Reserve on Labour Day. when the annual competitions of the Wellington Boy Scouts yv-il-l be hold.- Ambulance (Rhodes Cup), signalling (JJoorhouse Cup), physical drill and marching (Wellington Banner), and proficiency (Crawford Cup) will bo the coa;petitions decided on Labour Day, and a lar?c muster of parents and others interested is anticipated. A meeting of officers to deal-with, the various matters, will be held next Saturday night.
