SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
In the Institute of the Sailors' Friend! Society, on Tuesday, Misa E. Hannan provided a most attractive programme. The performers were Mesdames M'Lennan, Judd, and J. Paterson; arid the Misses Judd, Hannah, Fay Smyth, .'Hope, Flaws, andM'Gregor, and Messrs. Gray and Gaskill. Mrs. Free and Miss Judd were at the piano. "Convincing Lines" was Mr. Moore's temperance subject ; and pledges followed. . Tie competitions led' to much humour. The prices came from the Mesdames Gow and King, and were won by the mer .in port.
