The yacht Seaweed has returned to Southampton, owing to bad weather and its unsuitableness for a long vayage. The* vessel, encountering storms from the start, turned when abreast of the ScilHes. On the fourth day the boat was straining violently, and Captain Symonds and his wife passed the night on the deck wearing lifebelts. Both had been previously ill and the stores were soaked, and Mrs. Symonds is suffering from the effects of the constant drenching and want of food. Captain Symonds intends to attempt the trip again in a similar boat next summer.
