The series of disputes connected with the iron industry, of the Dominion was continued before the Conciliation' Com-, missioner yesterday, with the, moulders' branch of the trade.- >I-- •: , • Mr. W. Newton (Conciliation Commis; sioner) presided, and the assessors were: ; For the employers, Messrs. E. E. Stone-,, banks/ James Cable, and D. Robertson, with Mr: W. • A". Grenf ell as agent, ;■ For ' the Wellington Union/Messrs.'J. Ferguson, F^Keene, and P. M'lndoe. ; ;; .;.; ■The'principal demands of the employ-; ers were:—Hours:; Forty-seven hours to constitute a week's work, 8£ hours to, be worked on five diys and 4£ hours on the day of the usual haif-holiday.i Over-time-to be paid for at the tote of .time and' a quarter for the. first two hours worked, and time and' a half thereafter for the next two hours) and -double time between then and the. ordinary ;time' for commencing work next morning.
