"The cinema is extremely useful, and will soon bo considered indispensible in school work, both primary and secondary," stated Mias MXean, headmistress of the Wellington Girls' College, in reporting to the College Board of Governors, that, by this kindness of the Film House, through Mr. Gillespie, and the National Committee of the V.M.C.A., through Mr. S. G. Cress-well, the Girls' College was now able- to ; havo a continuous programme •of educational pictures. We have up till now boen hampered this year, with our reduced stall, by not being able to spare meinbera of our own staff to select and operate programme* as was dono before.' /It is very encouraging that, by the help o£ enthusiastic believers in the advantage, of the cinema to education, that ws> are enabled to continue this valuable aid to class work." The V.M.C.A. was deserving of very special thanks for their kindness in not only supplying films but in arranging to send an operator once a fortnight free of charge. Mr. Perry, of the Government Censor's office, had also rendered valuable assistance.
