VIOLENCE INCREASING

Violence in connection with the railway strike is. increasing throughout the country. A Santa Fe railway guard was killed at San Bernardino, California. At Concord, New Hampshire, troops fought the strikers, without any casualties, though numerous shots were fired. Several workers were attacked and stabbed in Chicago. At Creation, lowa, a striker was shot dead by a guard, and several negro strike-breakers were wounded. The strikers made an armed attack at Macon, Georgia.
