WELLINGTON ORGANISATION.
v_ln the Lecture Hall, adjoining the Salvation Army Citadel, Vivian-street,_ on Thursday last, a meeting was held "under the auspices of the New Zealand Alliance for the purpose of extending and completing the Wellington organisation, in view of the forthcoming Prohibition poll. Mr. A. R. Atkinson was in the chair, and\the body of the hall was well filled with an enthusiastic audience. Community singing, accompanied by the Army Band, and under the leadership of Staff-Captain Bladen, was a feature. The speakers were the chairman, Mr. J. Malton Murray Rev. John, Dawson, and Colonel M'lnnes, chief secretary of the Salvation Army. Major Burton was elected president of chairman,- Mr. J. Malton Murray, Rev. G. E. Brown, secretary; Mr. W. J. Helyer, treasurer; and. Mr. R. G. Denton, captain of scrutineers. A committee was also formed, consisting of the W.C.T.U., leaders of Bible classes, Chief. Templar 1.0. G.T., W.C.. Ruler, 1.0. R., with power to add to their, number. ,; A large number 'of pledges were taken from those willing to, undertake voluntary work.
