SOLDIERS' PAYMENTS

The Minister of Lands was asked by Mr. E. Masters (Stratford) in the House of Representatives yesterday, if he would cause a refund to be made in cases where it was known, and could be proved, that soldiers had had to pay interest on overdue accounts as the result of the neglect of the land boards to pay promptly. The Hon. D. H. Gnthrie replied that the delays, might have been caused by the neglect of the soldier or of the land board. If there were a direct case where the land board had. neglected its duty, and in consequence, the soldier had paid interest, he would see that there wan a rciuud.
