"DANTE AND BEATRICE."

The pupils of Marsden School will present a charming play, "Dante and Beatrice," on Friday, the 21st, at 8 p.m., in the Town Hall Concert Chamber. The play deals with the idealistic love of Dante for the beautiful Beatrice, and her death. It is interspersed with tableaux, and a light thread of incidental music runs throughout. It •will be given in a draped setting, and the costumes have been specially designed for the occasion. Tickets can be obtained from any of the students, the proceeds being devoted to the building fund for the new school. The box plan will open at the Bristol on Saturday next.
