It is very seldom that Wellington musio-lovers have an opportunity of hearing excerpts from Mozart's immortal operas or a pianoforte recital of works by Chopin.; It is reported that: the booking for the combined recital of Signor Cesarom and Mr. Gordon Short to-night' in the Concert Chamber has Keen heavy. Signor Ce___>_i has long been associated -with performances of Mozart's operas, and his study with one of the European Mozart authorities lends his. interpretations the stamp of tradition. _ Mr. Short studied-, Chopin interpretation under such artists as Madame Carreno and Josef Weiss,,and during his tour through the Dominion last year received high praise from the press for his Chopin performances. Mr.. Harold Whittle will be the accompanist.
