Mr. Underwood had conducted the big Dominion tournament with eminent success, and they were met that night under a great shadow of sorrow. AU they could do was to express their sincere sympathy with Mrs. Underwood, who had herself helped her late husband and bowlers generally in no small degree. . Mr. Meadowcroft moved: "That this centre desires to place on record the deep appreciation of the services rendered to bowling by the late secretary, Mr. S. H. Underwood, and, further, wishes to express its sincere sympathy with Mrs. Underwood and family in the loss they have sustained." In seconding the motion, Mr. M. J. Mr. Potter moved: "That tihti pennants be playedl."Mr. Keith moved, a» an amendment: "That the question regarding the senior pennants be adjourned!' until next meeting, in order that delegates might be fully apprised as to whether their clubs would play in the pennante." Mr. Keith said that if any club withdrew from the pennants, it,would be the first step in the disintegration of the centre. It wonld not be fair for delegates, to' adjudicate on competitions im which their clubs were not interested. Mr. Hill seconded the amendment, and said that some Bcheme might be devised whereby all members of clubs might have a chance of participating in inter-club matches. This would tend to a settlement ot grievances in some clubs regarding the selection of members f_r pennant games. Mr. Potter withdrew hi» "motion, and it Was agreed to postpone the question regarding the pennant* until next meeting. : V . . A committee, consisting of Messrs.
