LIVERPOOL SALES.

The High Commissioner, London, advises the Department of Agriculture as on Bth July as follows :—At the Liverpool sales this week, "Bawra" offered only 21,000 bales of Australian wool, withdrawing an offering of 9200 bales of New Zealand. . In addition, the catalogue included 300 bales of private-ly-owned New Zealand wool. There was a good average attendance,- with the Continental section well represented, and- with keen competition, the bulk of the lot being cleared at prices fully equal to last London closing rates. Fine crossbred and merino lambs showed a hardening tendency. "Bawra" also decided to withdraw all New Zealand crossbred wool from the Hull sale next week.
